Fees and Insurance FAQs

Therapy is a financial investment in your overall well being and quality of life.   Working out lingering, negative self talk, healing from past trauma and pain, and setting down the weight of your emotions to fully process them with me will introduce a lighter, happier and more peaceful life for you.  I encourage you to weigh the prospect of daily presence, joy and peace with your financial circumstances before making this very important decision.  Also consider that this comparably short term investment will give you return upon return in your overall health, relationships and happiness.

Questions to help you make this decision:

  • What might happen if you don't seek therapy at this time?

  • How might your life change from a positive therapeutic experience?

Do you take Insurance?

I am considered out of network for all insurance panels.  If you'd like to check out of network benefits, here are some questions that can be helpful when inquiring with your insurance company:

  • What are my out of network benefits for in office, out patient, mental/behavioral health?

  • Are any service (CPT) or diagnosis  codes excluded from coverage?

  • What forms do I need to submit for reimbursement?

Why don't you accept my insurance?

I broke up with insurance companies for a few different reasons.

  • They require a diagnosis, and for many clients I see, an official diagnosis is not clinically appropriate.

  • Insurance companies require some clinical data be sent to them, which affects your confidentiality as a client and your future insurance coverage.  The work you and I do together deserves complete confidentiality and it is my duty to preserve the safety and integrity of our clinical work.

  • Choosing clinicians based on coverage is not always the best fit.  Our clinical relationship is the most important factor in effective therapy.  We need to be a good fit, which typically has nothing to do with insurance plans and coverage.

I encourage you to schedule a free consultation with me to explore whether we are a good fit for therapy or coaching.

What are your fees?
